I had no idea that when receiving contrast through an IV, that it would burn all the way down to my toes… stopping for awhile in my hoo haa.
The other day, as I was laying with my arms over my head, trying not to move, I felt the intensity of heat radiate my body as the machine was buzzing all around me. Now, since I didn’t want to have to repeat the test- I stayed as perfectly still as possible… however, I was resigned to die there in the cat scan.
Now you may be thinking, Rochelle, it only lasts a moment…. and that may be so…. but at the time, I thought I made in my pants and after a quick conversation with myself, I decided death would be less shameful.
