There are some aspects of my work where I instruct others on how to perfect their grammar. For example, I have some colleagues who still do not understand the difference between “my friend and myself” or “either myself or Lori will print the reports.” To take it a step further, some coworkers even say, “Susie and myself” or “Either Stan or me will call you.”
Now, I could repeat myself until I am blue in the face, but some people still have yet to perfect the English language. So when I spend a good portion of my day training new hires how to properly speak….but hear one of them ask, “is you in the West Coast?” it makes myself angry.
