For my special day, I decided to live it up like no other. That’s right, today was my day and I was going to celebrate come hell or high water!
I decided to wake up at 4:30 a.m. to celebrate with my restless and sleepless children. When I came home from work, I learned that my middle child threw up so I decided I would do some laundry. When my youngest woke up, I decided to change his sheets since he had diarrhea. While I was in the mode, I figured I would wash the clothes with vomit and diarrhea for good measure.
After I did the laundry and changed the beds, I decided to jump at the idea of washing vomit off of the floor. Since that was enjoyable, I figured I would bathe some children since they were filthy from bouts of the runs and vomit.
When all were clean, I then realized there was nothing for dinner since we were supposed to go out to celebrate. I made dinner, cleaned it up and now, I am on my new sheets alone while hubby is passed out in someone’s bed.
Oh, and if you’re wondering how I keep my other children away from the vomitter- here’s what works well for me. I make a bunch of water cups for each child and then don’t watch as they all drink from each other’s cups. This way, I am ensuring the celebration continues tomorrow.
