Last week my son finished his last game of the season. The score was 8-6 with his team in the lead. When he got up to bat, he made a base hit. His team was cheering- and the coach was relieved.
However, it was when the next child was up at bat, that things took a twist. You see, when the next player hit the ball, it went deep into the outfield- meaning, my son could potentially run home.
Now, I’m not sure if it was the excitement of someone else on his team finally moving him from first base or the fact that it was the end of the inning, but rather than run at GD speed like most baseball players would have, my son did a grand jeté.
