Now listen here- let’s pretend that a child of 7 years old weighs 200 pounds. Do you think the local Gymboree would have that child’s size? How about the JC Penny’s- do you think one could find age appropriate clothing there? I mean, its possible one could special order clothing but that would get expensive.
All this matters because my young child wears a size 8.5 and the local Buster Brown doesn’t carry dress pumps her size. Instead, I had to take her to the Designer Shoe Warehouse where we tried every ballet shoe they made in her size. The unfortunate problem is that my daughter doesn’t like her toes being shoved into a “pointy” shoe and when the toes weren’t pointy, the heels were tight.
Trust me, I tried on every type of shoe in the warehouse- and the one that she didn’t complain about had an open toe and no back… with two inch heels.
