This evening my children and I were gathered on the rug in the playroom, looking into the newest hamster’s cage. Because it is a new hamster- just days in our home, we have tried patiently to just sit daily by his cage for him to get to know us; that was, until tonight.
Now, I am not certain if the hamster was trying to scare us away with his vulgarity or if he just didn’t see past his own refection as he was eating his penis- but either way, experiencing that performance with my kids as they stared bright eyed as he was going at it, has made me realize that patience is a good skill to practice.
