Well- I decided to fold my children’s laundry for the first time in months= that is, I did it so that the nanny can pay more attention to my sick child when she’s home tomorrow.

In the past, I may have left directions for the nanny to do certain things or routines- and when the kids were home sick, the house would suffer. Yet with new nanny- the youngest of them all, I have to remind her to put down the broom and play.

I’m sure there is a happy balance somewhere, but for now- I folded their laundry. You can relax, there are still two baskets of towels and sheets but I am thinking that the housekeeper may tack that on to her things to do.
